What is most secret, most personal or most protected aspect of being a man?
What do women do everything in their powers to experience?
What has been hidden for thousands of years?
All this ends with the documentary film, About Men.
Knowing full well that the men of the Sandpoint Men’s Group risked exposing personal vulnerabilities to the world, the men said yes to filmmaker’s request. These men are like every man, they aren’t emotional exbitionists. We all weighed the downside of having the inner sanctuary of our group exposed. We pondered our having emotional secrets revealed. Yet in the end we all decided there was no better way to show the world the power and benefits of men being real.
You can stream (watch online) the film this site. You can learn more at the film producer’s site, aboutmen.com. Or you can contact us about putting together an introduction to our work with men and a showing of the film. We are doing showings in Calgary, Cleveland, New York and Denver/Boulder.
These coed events are fun and catalyzing. Both men and women get to see how men express themselves when they are in a safe place. You can read about our showing in our home town of Sandpoint here. In past events everyone comes away more connected to their partner and their community. Our goal is to support men in starting their own men’s groups.
